Global Call Center-Decatur Electronics
On February 14th, 2011, Decatur Electronics implemented its new state of the art multi-lingual Global Call Center (GCC) in the American Emergency Products Phoenix, Arizona facility. The new call center allows for up to five inbound callers simultaneously to contact the GCC requesting new parts orders, repair requests and assistance with communication to the entire Decatur Electronics team. With the new GCC in operation, all individual inbound and outbound calls are monitored on a 52” LCD monitor allowing for the entire team to have immediate access to live information.
Each call can be monitored for quality by the Team Leader and the Customer Service Manager either in quiet mode or whisper mode to coach Call Center Agents with knowledge to immediately assist without the customers hearing the assisting team member. With this new knowledge of how many calls are received, where the calls are being routed and the call volume documented time, the team can make quick adjustments to schedules to best service our customers. Within the first month, the Customer Service leadership identified the need to expand the GCC coverage hours.
With documented times, day of inbound calls and volume, the Customer Service Team now services the customer from 5AM PST until 7PM EST. During the past 90 days, the Global Call Center has processed over 6,500 inbound calls with an average of 105 calls per day.
Beginning late June 2011, the Global Call Center will start receiving the inbound calls for American Emergency Products Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to the “Go Live” transition of calls, the Customer Service Team will receive training on call flows, contacts and refresh their knowledge of company offerings.
